Such as Television channels, FM Radio Stations, Film Production houses, Recording Studious, Ad production houses, Multimedia production houses etc. As a freelance professional they have vast area to work in all over the country independently.
A Sound Recordist’s income depends upon his creative skill and amount of success he gets commercially with his work. Talented and experienced Sound Recordists for instance will usually be able to command higher salaries. A Sound Recordist’s salary will also usually be determined by his location as well as which industry he’s in. It differs from Tollywood to Bollywood.
As a salaried person in different organization annual package starts from Rs. 3,00,000 – 8,00,000. It depends upon the financial strength of the organization. The salary also depends upon the project on which the Sound Recordist is working on. Freelance Sound Recordist earns hour wise payment or as a contractual amount which may reach to between Rs. 1,000 – 5,000 per day. For those experienced hands, sky is the limit.
